Daria Mejnartowicz

Daria Mejnartowicz dedicates a significant portion of her life to serving women and girls in the most vulnerable communities, often invisible to the world. Her commitment is broad, and her passion for helping others is deeply rooted in her life’s mission.

Daria Mejnartowicz

She holds a PhD in Physical Education and Physical Rehabilitation and a Master’s degree in Management and Marketing. She also completed an MBA program for Medical Staff and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sex Education at the Faculty of Rehabilitation at the University of Physical Education in Warsaw. She has extensive professional experience, including work as a senior manager in the healthcare sector (physiotherapy, orthopaedics, sports medicine). She is also the Vice President of the Polish Sports and Culture Foundation.

Daria has always demonstrated exceptional sensitivity to the needs of others, engaging in helping homeless animals since childhood. As she grew older, her dream of helping those in need in Third World countries became a reality. Through her participation in the prestigious mentoring programs for women leaders run by Vital Voices Global Partnership, created by Hillary Clinton and Madeliene Albright, she met world leaders and launched her own humanitarian initiatives.

After completing the Vital Voices program in 2012, she embarked on her first mission to Myanmar and then continued her outreach, working with alumni of the program. Since then, she has dedicated herself to working for access to education, healthcare, improved hygiene, access to water, and breast cancer education. Between 2012 and 2025, Daria has completed 26 humanitarian trips to 24 countries, reaching over 50,000 people and directly helping them. She also organises year-round support for
numerous charitable centres, raising funds for education, vocational training, well construction, sports competitions, and infrastructure support for hospitals and schools.

Daria’s work encompasses a wide range of projects, from assisting in the reconstruction of schools and medical facilities to providing health education, physical rehabilitation, and support for seniors and women entrepreneurs. Since 2017, she has successfully organised direct educational support for 280 girls from orphanages and rural areas in Africa, and built 10 wells in Liberia, Uganda, and Sierra Leone, providing access to clean water. She also engages in cotton pad and panty sewing programs, which not only provides employment for women but also provides free sanitary products to teenagers.

Daria Mejnartowicz organises all her humanitarian actions and missions during her free time and vacations, often using her own financial resources. She covers the costs of her projects – from airline tickets and parcel shipping to accommodation and meals on-site – mostly from her own pocket. Thanks to her determination and the support of friends and donors, she has been able to successfully implement initiatives to benefit communities in need around the world.

Daria’s work encompasses not only financial philanthropy but also the ability to mobilise others and create global support networks. Working with international organizations, leaders, and local communities, she constantly strives to change the world for the better. Her work impacts the lives of thousands of people – from providing education and improving healthcare to developing sports and infrastructure in the world’s poorest regions.
For her achievements, Daria has received numerous nominations and awards. In 2018, she was nominated for the “Superheroine” title by Wysokie Obcasy magazine. That same year, “Why Story” magazine nominated her for the “Charismatic Woman” title. Daria was also among the finalists of the Rodowicz-Anoda Award, awarded by the Warsaw Uprising Museum to “Insurgents of the Time of Peace.” She has also been nominated for the prestigious “CNN Hero 2018” award by the Dolly
Foundation in Ghana and for the title of “Global Peace Ambassador” in the USA. In 2020, she was one of the finalists in the “Polish Ambassador” competition organized by KGHM and “Super Express,” and in 2023, she was nominated by “WP Kobieta” for the title of “All-Powerful Among Women.”

In 2025, she was honoured by the President of the Republic of Poland with the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

The Foundation has the honour of supporting Daria for many years now. If you are interested to learn more about her, we would be happy to answer your questions.
